Education

January 2024 - Present
Bachelors in Arts in Journalism
University of Rhode Island
I am currently a junior journalism student at the University of Rhode Island. So far, my time at the University of Rhode Island has been great as I learned the industry fundamentals. I look forward to improving my skills, which I have learned by working with the Good Five Cent Cigar student newspaper.

January 2021 - May 2023
Bristol Community College
Associate in Arts in Communications
While attending Bristol Community College, I discovered my passion for journalism and news media. I was also the Editor-in-Chief of the HAWK student newspaper for two semesters. As the editor, I ensured that the HAWK served and informed the Bristol Community about current news, sports, arts, and political stories.

September 2022 - May 2023
The HAWK student newspaper
Editor-In-Chief
Serving as the editor of the student newspaper, I assigned stories and projects to other staff members while developing news articles and conducting interviews among the Bristol Community. I also made all final revisions to news articles and ensured that deadlines for projects and bi-weekly newsletters were met.

June 2023 - August 2023
The New Bedford Light
Summer Intern
During this internship, I worked with a fellow intern to coordinate interviews and film settings and kept up with production deadlines to produce the video Gen Z on Gen Z: Becoming an Adult.

September 2023 - January 2024
SouthCoast Community Foundation
Intern
At the community foundation, I helped the marketing and communications director coordinate social media posts highlighting various non-profits. These posts consisted of events and gatherings of non-profits in the southeast Massachusetts area while conducting interviews with leaders of non-profits.

October 2024 - December 2024
WRIU Radio
Contributing member
As a part-time member of the student ran radio station, I began working in broadcasting various men's and women's soccer matches by first starting in the broadcast studio. I first began broadcasting as a host for women's soccer, where I held a pregame, halftime, and post-game show. I then became a color commentator, where I helped the play-by-play commentator paint the scene of what was happening on the field for our listeners.
